Calle delle Bande 5267/A Castello

More paintings have been made of Venice than of any other city in the world, so it is no simple task to paint views of Venice which have something new to tell. Monica Martin achieves this, thanks to a light touch of irony that gives her works an original vivacity.

Her views of the city, her abstract gondolas, and the warm colors she uses have led her to be recognized as a unique artist of the Venetian cityscape.

At Itaca Art Studio, her studio-gallery, you can admire a vast range of prints, watercolors, original engravings, and oil and acrylic paintings of her beloved city, as well as works on other – sometimes abstract – themes. Monica Martin’s works have been displayed in a number of exhibitions in Italy and abroad, and have been purchased for private collections the world over.
